This summer I will be working with the Veterans' History Project. Our focus will be on the battle of Olustee and gaining recognition for the African American Union soldiers who were massacred in this battle. This opportunity will allow to me conduct poignant oral histories, complete detailed research to identify the soldiers, and build upon my skills as a historian.
